Kitirua Plains Lodge, part of the A&K Sanctuary collection, is a striking new eco-luxury lodge set on a 128-acre private concession bordering Amboseli National Park, beneath the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro. Opened in June 2026, the lodge was designed with Luxury Frontiers and shaped by Maasai principles of living in harmony with nature, its curved walls, fluid rooflines, and soil-blended exterior plaster meld unobtrusively into the landscape rather than imposing on it.
The lodge features 13 organic, standalone suites, eleven one-bedroom and two two-bedroom, each offering uninterrupted Kilimanjaro views from a private deck, lounge, or freestanding bathtub. A sculptural viewing tower with an elevated private dining area, accessed via a spiral staircase, is a signature architectural highlight.
Guests can explore the Amboseli ecosystem; home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffe, and over 400 bird species through day and night game drives, nature walks, and dawn hot-air balloon flights over the plains. A wellness area, wetland-set pool, and shaded terraces round out the experience. Through A&K Philanthropy, stays support the Safe Water for Schools Programme, bringing clean drinking water to local communities bordering Amboseli.
