Mweya Safari LodgeMweya Safari LodgeMweya Safari Lodge

Mweya Safari Lodge is located on a peninsula within the heart of the spectacular Queen Elizabeth National Park overlooking Lake Edward and the Kazinga Channel. A Safari lodge compared to no other - with sumptuous accomodation, breathtaking views from every room, an abundance of game and some of the best birdwatching in East Africa.

Because of the parks location and the large body of water, the area is teeming with wild life throughout the day. It is not uncommon to see a leopard as soon as one enters the park. The abundance of bird life such as the fish eagle, pelicans, cormorants, kingfisher and swamp flycatcher to mention a few is an ornithologists paradise. One can discover a vast array of Wild game that include lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, leopard, crocodiles, hippos, bush buck, topi, hyena, monkeys and baboons

The lodge consists of 50 rooms (standard, deluxe and presidential) and also consists of a pool, bar and dining area, outdoor lounge as well as a conferencing facility. The ‘safari luxurious’ interior décor meets colonial design with much of the original infrastructure having been carefully preserved. The spa at Mweya provides massages and other body treatments. A complete gym and steam room is also available.

Possible activities from here are game drives, Launch Boat Trip, Wellness activities and Yoga Chimpanzee trekking Bird watching Nature walks. Bush Breakfast. Forest walks around the Crater Area.
