The Ark
It is set in thick woodland, at the heart of the Aberdare National Park and is designed with 3 viewing decks, balconies and lounges that allow you to watch animals visiting the waterhole and salt-lick. Located on one of the viewing decks is a lounge and a bar, which remains open all night for tea and coffee.
A ground level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities and takes you closer to the animals.
Comfortable en-suite cabins are fitted with buzzers to announce the arrival of one of the "Big Five" at the waterhole.
The lodge has 60 "cabin-styled" rooms, comprising of 6 singles, 37 twins, 10 doubles and 7 triple-bed cabins. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower; all are comfortably furnished and enjoy a view of the forest waterhole.
Dinner and breakfast are served in the main dining room.
