Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi, you will be met and assisted. Transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Norfolk Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2 – Amboseli
After breakfast you will be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park situated at the foothills of the highest mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro. Game drive en route to your camp. Afternoon game drive after lunch. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge on full board basis.

Day 3 – Amboseli
Breakfast at your lodge. Amboseli means "A place of water", is situated at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Despite its sometimes dry and dusty appearance, the park has an endless water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's snow melt. The landscape is open and bushy savannah dotted with thickets and some acacias. It is an important rangeland in Maasai culture. The park offers a wide variety of wildlife but the principal attraction is its vast herds of elephant within the park. The bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya. Other game includes: zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopard, caracal and serval cat. The park boasts a rich bird life such as ibis, egret, avocet, common and saddle-billed stork, secretary bird, heron, vultures, ducks, and geese. Morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge on full board basis.

Day 4 – Samburu
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Samburu via Wilson Airport-Nairobi. This is Kenya’s rugged north eastern region. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife. Game viewing and visibility is excellent. Game unique to this area are- Reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk. Other animals include elephant, oryx, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Lunch at your club. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp on full board basis.

Day 5 – Samburu
Breakfast at your camp. Morning and afternoon game drives in this rugged wilderness in search of wildlife. Overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp on full board basis.

Day 6 – Masai Mara
Transfer to Samburu Airstrip to catch your scheduled flight to Masai Mara. Red-clad, with spear Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Afternoon game drive in the Mara, famous for the Wildebeest and Zebra migration and its abundance of wildlife. Overnight at Mara Intrepids Camp on full board basis.

Day 7 – Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are quite common. Today you may opt for an early morning balloon excursion to experience the panoramic Mara from a birds-eye view (optional and not included in the price). Overnight at Mara Intrepids Camp on full board basis.

Day 8 – Depart
Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. Transfer from Wilson Airport to Norfolk Hotel for your dayrooms. A farewell dinner at Carnivore restaurant before your transfer to JKI Airport for your onward flight
